This map, created by Adam Symington in 2022, shows all rivers in South America with data from the WWF project HydroSHEDS.

For the representation, the author uses different colours to group the rivers of the main river basins of South America:

  • Amazon, in red in the centre.
  • Orinoco, in green in the north.
  • La Plata, in green in the south.
  • Tocantis, in dark blue in the centre.
