Political map of Europe (1815)

This detailed map, created in 2024 by Gustav Ståhlberg, shows the political situation in Europe in 1815.

This map shows the European borders after the Congress of Vienna, which brought an end to the Napoleonic Wars. At that congress, the powers of the Sixth Coalition joined forces with the new French monarchy to redistribute territory and power in such a way as to guarantee peace in Europe.

In general terms, France lost all the territories it had gained during the Napoleonic period, as well as part of its border territories, to the forces of the Sixth Coalition.
