This map, published in 1884 by the School of Arts and Crafts, shows the political administration of Uruguay.
This map has great artistic merit, as might be expected from the work of an art school. In addition to the political map of Uruguay, there is a map of Montevideo in the lower left-hand corner and a bathymetric map of Montevideo Bay in the lower right-hand corner.
In the upper right corner, there is a photograph of Máximo Santos, the country's president at the time, accompanied by his main ministers. To complete the work, the authors also included photographs of the most representative places in Montevideo, the capital, on the right and left sides.
