According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), all individuals with a body mass index greater than 25. According to available data, more than half of Europe's population has a BMI greater than 25. The highest values are found in Malta (62.5%), Latvia (60.4%), Finland (59.8%) and Romania (59.7%). At the opposite end of the table are Italy (41.9%), Switzerland (45.6%), France (46.4%) and Cyprus (47.9%).
This indication should be considered an epidemiological issue, as each individual's body structure may determine a different appropriate body mass index.
