This map, created by Landgeist, shows the average life expectancy in different regions of Europe, according to data published by Eurostat in 2021.

The author uses a colour palette ranging from yellow to dark blue, including green, to show life expectancy in different regions. At the top end, we find several regions in Spain, Switzerland and northern Italy, with the Canton of Ticino leading the way (85.7 years). At the bottom end are most of the regions of Bulgaria and Serbia, with Severozapaden bringing up the rear (69.7 years).
