This map, created by Landgeist, shows the average life expectancy in different regions of Asia, according to data published by the United Nations in 2021.
The author uses a colour spectrum ranging from yellow to dark blue, passing through green, to show life expectancy in different regions. At the top end, we find several regions of South Korea, coastal China and all of Japan, with Hong Kong leading the way (85.5 years). At the bottom end are Afghanistan, Myanmar and eastern Indonesia, with the north-eastern region of Afghanistan bringing up the rear (60.5 years).
