Tacografía, map of tacos in Mexico (2013)

This map was created by Kitzia Sámano for the gastronomic book La Tacopedia, published by the Mexican publishing house Trilce in 2013.

The map delves into the great diversity of Mexican cuisine, mainly in relation to tacos. The illustrations refer to the most typical ingredients of the 31 Mexican states (and the Federal District), and are accompanied by text detailing the most popular tacos in each region.

Among them, you can find the most popular tacos internationally, such as tacos al pastor, typical of Mexico City, Cochinita Pibil tacos, typical of Yucatán, or Carnitas tacos, typical of Michoacán.
