Refugees arrived in multiple countries from certain regions of origin, including:
- IndochinaRefugees in the Philippines, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia.
- NicaraguaRefugees in Honduras, Costa Rica, and within Nicaragua itself.
- UgandaRefugees in Kenya, Tanzania, and Sudan.
- BurundiRefugees in Zaire, Uganda, and Tanzania.
- PalestineRefugees in the West Bank, Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria.
- EthiopiaRefugees in Sudan, Djibouti, Somalia, and Ethiopia.
It should be noted that refugees from Spanish Sahara are marked following the Green March, with which Morocco occupied Western Sahara in 1975 after Spain's departure.
