The true size of Colombia (2022)

This map, created by Ruy Pinto Schaffroth, shows the comparative size of Colombia and several European countries.

To do this, it shows two maps of Colombia, comparing each one with different countries in Europe. On the map on the left, it equates the size of Colombia (1.14 million square kilometres) to the combined size of Slovenia, Switzerland, Germany, Albania, England, Scotland, Austria, Luxembourg, Wales and Denmark. On the map on the right, it equates Colombia to the combined size of Ireland, Northern Ireland, Belgium, France, Hungary, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic.
