This map, published by Robelin in Paris, shows the administrative division of the Republic of Nicaragua in 1913.
The map includes the Mosquito Coast as the Mosquito Reserve, following recognition by the United Kingdom through the Altamirano-Harrison Treaty of 1905. It also includes a territorial claim on Honduras in the north, around the Caratasca Lagoon.
The complex territorial administration, which has changed significantly since then, can be appreciated. In 1913, it had a total of 18 divisions, with varying degrees of autonomy and an area that in many cases was different from today: Chinandega, Esteli, Nueva Segovia, Comarca del Cabo de Gracias a Dios, León, Jinotega, Matagalpa, Princzapolka District, Mosquita Reserve, Comarca de San Juan del Norte, Comarca del Siquia, Chontales, Comarca del Río Grande, Granada, Managua, Masaya, Carazo, Rivas.
