Population density of Nicaragua (2023)

This illustration, created by Terence Teo, represents Nicaragua's population density on a three-dimensional map. To do this, Terence extracted the data available at Kontur Population with which it generates columns using a programme, with a height that represents the population density at each point.

This map of Nicaragua shows the different population peaks, among which the urban area of Managua predominates, accounting for a third of the country's inhabitants. The illustration also shows other peaks in León, Estelí, Matagalpa, San Juan del Norte and Puerto Cabezas.
