This map, published by NASA in 2014, shows asteroids that have disintegrated in Earth's atmosphere (technically known as fireballs) between 1994 and 2013.

All observed events are identified with dots on the map, with a total of 556. Those that occurred during the day are shown in yellow, while those that occurred at night are shown in blue. The size of the dot represents the energy generated in each event, corresponding to the scale shown in the lower right corner, where the numbers indicate the gigajoules emitted by the fireball.
