This map, published by the CIA in October 2015, shows the different time zones that exist around the world.
The time zones These are the bands into which the world is divided, from north to south. There are a total of 24 time zones in the world, each covering 15 degrees, and the area delimited usually shares the same official time.
The time zones, on the other hand, are geographical regions that do share the same official time, which does not coincide with the time zones. This is usually due to political issues in each country, as well as the need for regions with strong ties to share the same official time.
This CIA map shows time zones, revealing how in some cases time zones have a significant difference from the corresponding time zone. A clear example of this is western China, which has a three-hour difference from its natural time zone, given China's policy of maintaining a single time zone for the entire country. In the continental United States, which is similar in size to China, there are four time zones, allowing the different states to be closer to their corresponding time zone.
