Paleocranium - Fernando Vicente (2009)

Creation by the painter and illustrator Fernando Vicente part of the series «Imagined Atlases», a collection of paintings created on school atlases. In this particular case, Vicente paints a fragmented skull over the silhouettes of Africa, southern Europe and part of Asia, with the maps representing the gaps between each piece of the skull.

This painting can be enjoyed at the Neocueva del Museo de Altamira in Santillana del Mar, Cantabria.
