Physical and political map of the island of Saint Martin (2009)

This map, created by Eric Gaba for Wikimedia Commons in 2009, shows the island of Saint Martin in the Caribbean.

The island of Saint Martin belongs to the Lesser Antilles archipelago in the Caribbean Sea. This island has the distinction of having the only land border between France and the Netherlands, measuring just 10.2 kilometres. This is because the island is currently divided between Sint Maarten, an autonomous country within the Kingdom of the Netherlands, in the south, and Saint Martin, a French overseas collectivity, in the north.

This map shows the terrain's topography, as well as the border dividing the two entities, separated by a dotted line. The roads connecting the island's different towns are shown in red.
