Indigenous territories of the Canadian Arctic (2024)

This map was published Gaëlle Sutton in 2024 as part of the initiative #30DayMapChallenge.

The author shows the occupied territories of Inuit Nunangat, the northern region of Canada where the Inuit live, in yellow on the map. This territory occupies part of several Canadian provinces, the most important of which for the Inuit is Nunavut. This province is home to the three main Inuit regions of Canada: Kitikmeot, Kivalliq and Qikiqtaaluk.

You can find more information about the initiative here. #30DayMapChallenge in what I wrote in the newsletter.
