Political map of Tonga (1966)

This map of Tonga was issued by the New Zealand Department of Lands and Surveys in 1966, when it was still a colony of the United Kingdom.

On the left-hand side is a general map of the oceanic country, including its many island groups, such as Vava'u, Tongatapu and Ha'apai. On the right-hand side, three more maps appear. The first is a location map to locate Tonga in Oceania, the second a detailed map of the Vava'u group and the third a detailed map of the Tongatapu group.

In addition, all maps are marked with the road network in red and the various coral reefs in blue.

The map shows the different districts of the Caribbean country, represented in dark brown; roads in light brown; and rivers and lakes in blue.
