  • La Llorona, in New Mexico and Texas.
  • Jersey Devil (the Jersey Devil) in New Jersey.
  • Wendigo, in the Great Lakes.
  • Rougarou, the werewolf of New Orleans.
  • Ho Dag, in Wisconsin.
  • Nain Rouge, the red dwarf of Detroit.

Many of the myths depicted are typical of a much wider region than the one in which they are located on the map.
