Among the many myths that the author recovers in this map, some of the most iconic are worth highlighting:

  • Count Estruch (Count Estruch), in Catalonia.
  • Rooster of Barcelos (Rooster of Barcelos), in northern Portugal.
  • Herens sheep, in the Basque Country.
  • Man with the Iron Hat (Man in the iron hat), in the Algarve.
  • Roblón, in Cantabria.
  • Goblin, in northern Spain.
  • , in Toledo.
  • Malism, in Castile.

Many of the myths depicted are typical of a region much larger than the one in which they are located on the map.
