Political map of Argentina (2021)

This map, created by Álvaro Merino for El Orden Mundial, shows the territorial division of Argentina, with its 23 provinces and the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, which is also the federal capital of the country. In addition to the provincial capitals, the map shows other important cities such as Mar del Plata, Rosario, Bariloche and Comodoro Rivadavia.

The country's main rivers are marked in blue, including the Bermejo, the Paraná, the Colorado, the Negro, the Chubut, the Deseado and the Chico. The map also depicts the inland hydrography, with express mention of the Mar Chiquita, the salt lake of Cordoba which is one of the largest in the world.

In the lower right-hand corner, the Falkland Islands are shown as part of the United Kingdom, in keeping with the de facto rule, despite the dispute over sovereignty between Argentina and the UK. The official map of the country, the bicontinental map of Argentina, The Falklands and several South Atlantic islands are included as part of the country.
