Map of the Republic of Suriname (2006)

This map of Suriname was published in 2006 by Afaka International, under the supervision of Surinamese writer Gerrit Barron. The map is in Dutch, the country's official language.

This map shows the country's territorial administration, with its 10 districts, nine of which are in the north of the country and one, the district of Sipaliwini, occupying more than three quarters of the country in the south. For this reason, the Sipaliwini district is also divided into its seven constituent ressorts on the map. These divisions also exist in the other districts, but are not shown on the map.

The map also includes various details about the country's mineral and hydrocarbon reserves, as well as towns, cities, and all the roads that connect them.
