Ethnic map of Honduras (2020)

This map, published by RedHonduras in 2020, shows the territorial distribution of the main ethnic groups in Honduras.

The entire territory of Honduras is depicted on the map in a warmer shade than the bordering countries, while the different ethnic groups are in bright orange. Honduras officially recognises nine indigenous peoples (Lenca, Misquito, Chorti, Tolupan, Nahua, Pech and Tawahka) and Afro-descendants (Garifuna and Creoles), all of whom are labelled in black on the map, except for the Nahua.
