Portugal has 182,000 hectares of vineyards, making it the ninth largest country in terms of land dedicated to wine growing. This area allows it to produce a total of 7.5 million hectolitres of wine annually, placing it tenth in the world in terms of production.

This map shows all regions of Portugal that have a controlled designation of origin.
