Polandball, also known as Countryballs, is a well-known Internet meme. Through balls representing countries and regions, this meme has been used for decades to create comics about geopolitics and domestic politics, ranging from satire to irreverence.

This map of 2024 shows many of the most important news stories and events that took place that year:

  • The war in Ukraine.
  • The war in Palestine.
  • Donald Trump's return to power in the United States.
  • Bukkele's measures against gangs in El Salvador.
  • The fires in Portugal and Brazil.
  • The declaration of martial law in South Korea.
  • The plundering of minerals in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
  • The floods in Nepal

Many historical and fantastical characters from the Pollandball comics can also be seen around the edge of the map.
