Map of Cáceres, by Alberto Martín (1910)

This map of the city of Cáceres, in Extremadura, Spain, was published in 1910 in Barcelona by Alberto Martín, with information provided and reviewed by the city council. It is currently part of the map library of the National Geographic Institute.

The map shows the extent of the city at the beginning of the 20th century. It is oriented with the east at the top, where the Ribera stream is located, which at that time marked the city's boundary. Virtually all of the city centre's urban layout has remained intact over the last hundred years, although expansion to the west and, mainly, to the south has significantly increased the city's size.

Although it does not appear on the map, the old railway station had already been built in 1880, just at the other end of Paseo de Cánovas, the beginning of which can be seen at the bottom right of the map.
