This map was created by French cartographer Jacques Liozu. It is part of volume 7 of the collection El Mundo en Color (The World in Colour), dedicated to Spain, which was published by Doré Ogrizek in France in 1951 and translated into Spanish in 1953.
This illustration is dedicated to the city of Madrid, exploring its main monuments and offering some insights into its culture. Interestingly, this map still shows the Collegiate Church of San Isidro as the city's cathedral, as it was published forty years before La Almudena became the new cathedral.
You can read more details about these maps by Jacques Liozu. in this edition of the newsletter.
