This map was created by French cartographer Jacques Liozu. It is part of volume 7 of the collection El Mundo en Color (The World in Colour), dedicated to Spain, which was published by Doré Ogrizek in France in 1951 and translated into Spanish in 1953.
This illustration is dedicated to Extremadura and the Community of León, which at that time consisted of the provinces of Salamanca, Zamora and León. The map explores its main monuments, historical figures, details of agriculture and industry, and some insights into its culture.
