The Whole World (1675)

This map, drawn around 1675 by an anonymous author, is currently housed in the Beinecke Library at Yale University.

The map, of German origin, shows a representation of the world based on knowledge at the end of the 17th century. Among other details, this map includes the error of the Island of California, which was repeated on numerous maps from the late 17th and early 18th centuries.
