Map of the state of Panama, Colombia (1864)

This map was created by Colombian cartographers Manuel María Paz and Manuel Ponce de León in 1864 and published in 1865 in the Atlas of the United States of Colombia. The map depicts the state of Panama when it was still part of the United States of Colombia and before its separation from Colombia in 1903.

The former state of Panama bordered Costa Rica to the west, the Caribbean Sea to the north, the state of Cauca to the east, and the Pacific Ocean to the south. The capital was located in Panama City.
