This map, created by López Buisan for the Argentine government, shows the country's economy up to 1933.
The main map uses a pictorial style to represent the economic characteristics of each of the country's provinces, which are shown in different colours. In different areas, there are three other maps of Argentina with specific features. Above Uruguay, there is a map of Argentina showing the main mineral reserves. Further down, another map details Argentina's climate and the typical fruits of each province. Finally, in the lower left corner there is a small map showing the railway lines that existed in 1933.
The illustration also includes a wealth of data on Argentina's overall economy: in the top left corner, oil production; in the top right corner, money from the National Postal Savings Bank; and in the bottom right corner, agricultural and wine production.
At the top are all the presidents of Argentina, from Bernardino Rivadavia to Agustín Pedro Justo, who was president when this map was published. In addition, on both sides are statements from ministers and governors on Argentina's economic situation and what steps can be taken to improve it.
