This illustration, created by Terence Teo, The population density of Lithuania is depicted on a three-dimensional map. For this purpose, Terence has extracted the data available at Kontur Population with which it generates columns using a programme, with a height that represents the population density at each point.
This map of Lithuania shows the various population peaks, dominated by the urban area of Vilnius, the capital, whose metropolitan area accounts for a quarter of the country's population. Kaunas, the country's second most populous city, is also highlighted in the illustration, as well as Klaipėda, Alytus and Panevėžys.
