This map was published by Ansgar Wolsing in 2024 as part of the initiative #30DayMapChallenge.

The author has chosen to represent all the countries in the world with rectangles of different colours and sizes that overlap each other, depending on their position on the planet and their size.

The choice of colours, as well as the style, are intended to pay homage to the artistic style of Piet Mondrian.
