This map, published by Ramón Sosa in 1935, shows the city of Caracas. The map was produced with the assistance of the Venezuelan Tourism Club and the Advertising Department, as it was intended to promote tourism in the city.

The map shows the most significant buildings. The accompanying legend highlights a multitude of public buildings, such as schools, headquarters and banks, as well as places of interest to tourists, such as museums, churches, chapels, dance halls, theatres, circuses, parks, squares, bridges, stadiums and other types of monuments.

This illustration helped to consolidate local tourism in the city of Caracas and laid the foundations for the arrival of international tourism in the following decades. In 1938, two years after the publication of this map, the National Tourism Act was passed and Venezuela's first National Tourism Office was created.
