Electric cars in Europe (2025)

This map, published by Eurostat in 2025 with data from 2023, shows the volume of electric cars in Europe.

The different colours show the percentage of fully electric cars in each of the regions of Europe (NUT-2):

  • All regions with a percentage of electric cars above 10% are shown in dark blue.
  • Regions with percentages between 1.1% and 10% appear in blue and green tones, with higher percentages appearing in greater intensity.
  • Regions with a percentage below 1.1% but above 0.1% are shown in light green.
  • In yellow, regions below 0.1% TP3T.

Norway, with almost a quarter of its vehicle fleet, remains the country with the highest percentage of electric cars, followed by Iceland, Denmark and the Netherlands. At the other end of the scale are Bosnia and some regions of Greece and Poland.
