Population density of Croatia (2022)

This illustration, created by Terence Teo, represents Croatia's population density on a three-dimensional map. To do this, Terence extracted the data available at Kontur Population with which it generates columns using a programme, with a height that represents the population density at each point.

This map of Croatia shows the different population peaks, among which the urban area of Zagreb, the capital, predominates, with its metropolitan area accounting for a quarter of the country's population. The illustration also shows other peaks in Rijeka, Osijek and along the Adriatic coast, where Zadar and Split are located.
