Population density of the Philippines (2023)

This illustration, created by Terence Teo, represents the population density of the Philippines on a three-dimensional map. To do this, Terence extracted the data available at Kontur Population with which it generates columns using a programme, with a height that represents the population density at each point.

This map of the Philippines shows the great importance of the Manila metropolitan area, which also includes the cities of Quezon City, Caloocan, Taguig and Pasig, among others. In addition, significant peaks can also be seen in the country's other major metropolitan areas: Davao and Cebu. The city of Jolo is also represented, as despite its low population, it has a high density that defines the peak.
