One by one, we will break his legs (1941)

This propaganda map was created by Kimon Evan Marengo, a cartoonist working for the British Ministry of Information (MOI), a public body that existed in the United Kingdom during the Second World War.

The illustration depicts a spider with the face of Adolf Hitler, whose legs reach all parts of Europe and North Africa. All of the legs are being attacked by Allied forces on various fronts, intended to show how pressure from the Allies was beginning to mount and victory was possible.

The map was published in several languages, this being the one that was printed and distributed in France under the title One by one, we will break his legs. (One by one, we'll break all his legs).
