The map depicts the province of Guadalajara with the territorial boundaries prior to Javier de Burgos's reform of the provincial administration in 1833.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The former province of Guadalajara bordered to the north with the <a href=\"https:\/\/mapasmilhaud.com\/en\/old-maps\/map-of-the-province-of-segovia-1773\/\" title=\"\">province of Segovia<\/a>, to the northeast with the <a href=\"https:\/\/mapasmilhaud.com\/en\/old-maps\/map-of-the-province-of-soria-1783\/\" title=\"\">province of Soria<\/a>, to the southeast with the <a href=\"https:\/\/mapasmilhaud.com\/en\/old-maps\/map-of-the-province-of-cuenca-1766\/\" title=\"\">province of Cuenca<\/a>, to the south with the <a href=\"https:\/\/mapasmilhaud.com\/en\/old-maps\/map-of-the-province-of-toledo-1768\/\" title=\"\">province of Toledo<\/a> and to the west with the <a href=\"https:\/\/mapasmilhaud.com\/en\/old-maps\/map-of-the-province-of-madrid-1773\/\" title=\"\">province of Madrid<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The province is divided into three judicial districts (Sig\u00fcenza, Guadalajara and Colmenar Viejo) and three territories (Buitrago, Hita and Ladraque).
