This map, drawn up by the Mexican cartographer Antonio Garc\u00eda Cubas, was originally published as part of the Geographical and Statistical Atlas of the United Mexican States<\/em> in 1858. It is the first atlas of Mexico produced by a Mexican cartographer. This particular edition was published by Debray Sucesores in 1886.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The map depicts the state of Coahuila in northeastern Mexico, with its most populated localities, major geographic features and administrative boundaries (in different colours). The state was bordered to the north by the United States, to the east by Nuevo Le\u00f3n and Tamaulipas, to the south by Zacatecas and San Luis Potos\u00ed, and to the west by Chihuahua and Durango.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
