This map of the city of Guadalajara, in Castilla-La Mancha, Spain, was published in 1910 in Barcelona by Alberto Mart\u00edn, with information provided and revised by the city council. It is currently part of the National Geographic Institute's Map Library.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The map shows the size of the city at the beginning of the 20th century, with the entire urban centre on the left bank of the river Henares, when the city had about 11,000 inhabitants. Also visible on the right bank of the river is the train station, inaugurated in 1859 as one of the many stops on the railway line between Madrid and Barcelona.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the beginning of the 20th century, the wall of Guadalajara had been almost completely destroyed. Although some vestiges still remained, they are not mapped on the plan due to a lack of interest in this heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
