This map, published by Statista in 2024, shows the best and worst countries for LGBTI+ tourism, according to data provided by Spartacus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spartacus is a German website that has been publishing the annual Gay Travel Index<\/a>. In its 2024 edition, it assesses the safety of travelling to the 213 countries and territories evaluated for all members of the LGBTI+ community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Five countries have the highest scores (+12): Spain, Portugal, Canada, Malta and New Zealand. The next Spanish-speaking countries are Uruguay (+10), Colombia (+9), Chile (+9), Argentina (+8) and Costa Rica (+7). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the bottom, with the lowest scores (-21), are Afghanistan, Iran, Saudi Arabia and Chechnya. The Spanish-speaking countries that appear lowest in the table are the Dominican Republic (-11), Guatemala (-9), Venezuela (-8), Nicaragua (-8) and Paraguay (-8).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
