The map depicts the state of Tolima during the period of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/mapasmilhaud.com\/en\/old-maps\/the-united-states-of-colombia-1883\/\">United States of Colombia<\/a>\u00a0and before the territorial reform that divided Colombia into departments in 1905.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The former department of Tolima bordered the department of Cauca to the south and west, the department of Antioquia to the north, and the department of Cundinamarca to the east.
