This map, published by\u00a0Landgeist<\/a>, shows the airports with the most passengers in Europe, according to data from 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The illustration shows the hundred airports with the highest passenger numbers in 2022, represented by orange dots of different sizes. Circles of four sizes are used, from smallest to largest: less than 4 million passengers, less than 16 million, less than 32 million and less than 64 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2022, airports began to recover flight numbers similar to those seen before the Covid pandemic of 2020. The ten busiest airports were as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  8. Lisbon (Portugal).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  9. Gatwick, London (United Kingdom).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  10. Munich (Germany).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Total passenger figures include both those who originate or terminate at that airport, as well as transit passengers who are only making a stopover. It excludes passengers who make a stop on the aircraft without leaving it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
