This particular map focuses on the habitat and migration patterns of different whale species across the world's oceans. The illustrations of the whales are the work of the author. <a href=\"https:\/\/ukogorter.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Uko Gorter<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The colours represent each of the whale species that still remain on the planet:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Green: Common rorqual or fin whale (found in all oceans)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Rosa: Bowhead whale or boreal whale (found in the Arctic Ocean and the northern Atlantic and Pacific Oceans)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Grey: Grey whale (found off the coasts of the northern hemisphere of the Pacific Ocean)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Purple: Humpback whale or Basque whale (found on the east coast of North America)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Orange: Humpback whale (found in all oceans)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Turquoise: Southern right whale (found in all oceans of the southern hemisphere)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fuchsia: Sperm whale (found in all oceans)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Blue: Blue whale or blue rorqual (found in all oceans)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The main map shows data obtained from satellite tracking, with lines indicating the movements of individual whales and arrows indicating migration patterns.
