This illustration, created by Terence Teo, The population density of Uzbekistan is depicted on a three-dimensional map. To do this, Terence has extracted the data available at Kontur Population with which it generates columns using a programme, with a height that represents the population density at each point.
This map of Uzbekistan shows the various population peaks, dominated by the urban area of Tashkent, the capital, which has a much higher population density than anywhere else in the country. The illustration also shows how almost the entire population of the country is concentrated in multiple cities in the southeast, with cities such as Bukhara, Samarkand, Termez and Namgangan.
