This map, created by Álvaro Merino for El Orden Mundial,shows the number of streets named after women in 30 major European cities.

The data used has been extracted from the European Data Journalism Network (EDJNet), which analysed 145,933 streets in 30 major cities in the European Union or candidate countries. The overall result shows that only 91% of these streets are named after women.

Among the different cities, those with the highest percentages are Stockholm (19.5%), Madrid (18.7%), Seville (17.2%) and Barcelona (15.7%). At the opposite end of the spectrum are Debrecen (2.7%), Athens (4.5%), Milan (5.0%) and Turin (5.3%).
