Venezuela, World of Warcraft style (2024)

This map, created by Santiago Reyes in 2024, represents Venezuela. The illustration is part of the project to represent the entire Latin America in the style of World of Warcraft.

World of Warcraft is a multiplayer role-playing video game released in 2004. Shortly after its release, it achieved great popularity, partly due to its distinctive game design, thanks to which it has gained millions of subscribers and has become part of popular culture.

In this map, Santiago Reyes depicts Venezuela with all the aesthetics of a video game. The representation seeks to maintain scale, relief and vegetation, while depicting the country's most important features: mountains, jungles, rivers and major population centres. As a curious detail, the map also includes Guyana at war, to represent the existing territorial conflict.
