Europe gridded (2020)

This map of Europe was published by Frank Neumann on Reddit in 2020.

The map represents each country in Europe as a square painted with its own flag. The position of the different countries is relative and the size of each country corresponds to the size of each country, with a ratio of one pixel per square kilometre.

All countries are represented, although Vatican City is not recognisable, as the only pixel used for its flag is white, which is indistinguishable from the white stripe of the Italian flag.
